Journey donate $350K to victims of Philippines typhoon

Rockers Journey have donated $350,000 to support victims of the deadly typhoon which hit the Philippines last week.

More than 10,000 people have died and thousands more have been left homeless after Typhoon Haiyan devastated the country in what experts describe as one of the worst disasters in modern history.

Journey singer Arnel Pineda hails from the southeast Asian island, so the band has decided to donate $350,000 to the United Nations World Food Programme to assist the organization’s relief efforts.

In a message released to their fans in the Philippines, Pineda writes, “Don’t stop believing… Help is on the way.”
