Drunken teen hits two women in Hampton Beach


A teen accused of drunken driving after running down two women in Hampton Beach will not be allowed at his high school graduation Friday night. WMUR reporting  69 year old Karen Weinhold  and 60 year old Lisa Beaudry, both of Hampton, were walking on Ocean Boulevard at 7:15 am Thursday when they were hit by a 1992 Volvo sedan driven by 17-year-old Remi Gross-Santos.Police said they believe Gross-Santos had been drinking. He was scheduled to graduate from high school Friday.  Portsmouth High School officials say Gross-Santos will not be taking part in graduation ceremonies.

A New York City doctor says U2 singer Bono suffered multiple fractures and had to have two surgeries after his weekend bicycle accident. Orthopedic trauma surgeon Dr. Dean Lorich says Bono underwent a five-hour surgery on his elbow in which three plates and 18 screws were inserted on Sunday night. Bono had another surgery to repair a fracture to his left pinkie on Monday. Lorich says Bono will need therapy but a full recovery is expected.

Bono is a launching an all-star campaign featuring "once-in-a-lifetime experiences" like walking the red carpet with Meryl Streep or visiting the "Game of Thrones" set.
