A clerk who prevented a gas station from being robbed by pulling out his gun says he was fired hours later for carrying a firearm against company policy. Shannon “Bear” Cothran told the Telegraph of Nashua that he was working at a Shell station in Nashua early Monday morning when a man threatened him with a knife. Police confirm the would-be robber fled after the clerk pulled out a gun. Nouria Energy, which owns the station, fired Cothran even though the store and a district manager lobbied to save his job.
