Corrections officer asks for pardon

New Hampshire’s governor and executive council will decide whether to grant a jail guard’s request to pardon burglary convictions he racked up as a teenager.  Twenty-eight-year-old Thomas Schoolcraft was a 19-year-old with a ninth-grade education when he was convicted in 2004 of breaking into homes.  He has since earned his bachelor’s degree and has worked as a corrections officer at the Cheshire County jail for more than two years.  He would need a pardon to further his career in law enforcement.
