Fires hit stable and marina

An indoor riding areana was  was destroyed by fire at a stable  in Laconia yesterday. Everything was lost but no animals were injured.  Losses, which included equipment for a lnadscaping business are estimated at $750-thousand dollars.  The cause is still under investigation.

Firefighters last night were  busy battling a two-alarm fire at the Riveredge Marina on Squam Lake in Ashland. Firefighters were called to the marina at 10:38 p.m. Sunday, and struck a second alarm due to heavy flames visible in a boat house.

Be careful with your cigarettes.  Dry conditions are causing a lot of concern and plenty of problems.  A four alarm brush fire burned property in Loudon this weekend and another torched acres in Boscawen.  Smokers are asked to not throw their butts out the window.
