Money woes in Manchester

We learned last week that Manchester tax payers would see a larger than expected increase in property taxes now there’s another financial blow. The Union Leader this morning says the a surge in demand for welfare assistance could cost the city $220,000.  Part of the problem is the million dollar decline in projected school tuition payments from surrounding towns.
