NH reacts, local tie to Boston Bombing

A pair of vigils is planned for tonight in Nashua to show support for the victims of the Boston Marathon explosions, as well as for Boston itself.  One event will be held outside Nashua City Hall, while the other is at the Unitarian Universalist Church.  They are both at 6:30.

The day after the Boston Marathon bombings, explosives experts made a security sweep of state capital buildings in Concord.  The State House, Legislative Office Building, state library and federal courthouse were all swept by the State Police bomb unit.  Nothing was found.

We are now learning, one of the bystanders caught in the bombings has NH ties.  Jeff Bauman Jr is 27 years old. He lost both of his legs in the blast.  His father, Jeff Bauman lives in Concord.  Bauman, Jr.’s picture has been seen world wide being wheeled away from the scene with severe injuries to both of his legs.  His father told reporters his son was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
