Senator Jeanne Shaheen has introduced a bill to give people more time to sign up for health insurance. The Affordable Care Act Enrollment Extension Act would add a minimum of an extra two months to sign up through the health care exchanges. Shaheen says it’s not fair to penalize people for not having health insurance because problems persist with the Healthcare.gov website.
