Manchester students will have a shorter school year. The Manchester Board of School Committee and the city teachers union have come to an agreement that will shorten the school year starting in the fall from 180 to 175 days.The Union Leader reporting that February and April vacations will remain the same. The new calendar does make slight adjustments to the beginning and end times of the school day. They also agreed to pay a new superintendent as much as $190,000 a year.
