“She is a champion of change in the state of New Hampshire.” That is how Elaine describes Nancy Ryan, who has worked tirelessly for more than 20 years advocating for women. In her role as President of the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition, she is relentless in her mission to
provide assistance to state residents with breast cancer through education, support, financial
assistance, and legislative advocacy. Nancy is the founding member of the Coalition and, since 1992, has fought to increase funding for research on the causes, treatments, and cure, as well as improving access and treatment for all women, especially the underinsured. She was a key player in establishing the Coalition’s Support Service Fund, which helps residents with breast cancer meet financial needs. Nancy is a volunteer, she is unpaid, but most
importantly, she is passionate about putting an end to this disease.
