Independence Day celebrations



Bretton Woods: A Celebration of Freedom! A weekend of family fun with activities planned for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Canterbury"Let Freedom Ring"  — A celebration of America. Poetry Slam. Music and Dance performances.

Gorham: 
A weekend-long celebration on the Town Common - Carnival Midway, Chili Chowder Cook Off, live music, children's interactive magic show, Bobo the Clown, parades, duck race, fireman's muster, a classic car parade, horseshoe tournament, and more!


Hopkinton: Third Annual Fourth of July Celebration at Houston Fields from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., after the parade! There will be food, games, raffles, contests, music, juggling demos, pony rides, and booths manned by various community groups. A variety of baked goods will be offered for sale at the Senior booth. Sodas and snacks will be sold at the concession stand. Everyone is welcome. Admission is free.

Pittsburg: "
Independence Celebration" — Murphy's Dam. Flea market, food, vendors, fishing derby, pony rides, games, chicken barbecue, music and fireworks.

Portsmouth: 12-5 p.m., Strawbery Banke - An American Celebration - A real old-fashioned fabulous 4th of July! Complete with children's parade, traditional games and crafts, historic garden tours, music, living history, food and fun for all.

Waterville Valley: "Independence Weekend Celebration and Fireworks" — Waterville Valley Resort. Parade, games, live music, dunk tank, and field day activities.
 

FRIDAY, JULY 3

Alton Bay: 9:20 p.m., Alton Bay Bandstand, preceded by East Bay Jazz Concert performing Swing and Jazz favorites, 7-9pm. Rain date: July 11.
Amherst: dusk, Souhegan High School, preceded by Amherst Town Band concert, hot air balloon rides
Ashland: dusk, Ashland Ball Field
Harrisville: 9 p.m., Island Cemetery
Jackson: 9 p.m., Wentworth Golf Course
Littleton: dusk, town landfill at intersection of Riverside Drive and Industrial Park Road.

Pelham: dusk, behind the Elementary School on Marsh Rd.

Rochester: 9:30 p.m., Rochester Fairgrounds. Rain date: July 5. Fireworks preceded by live music by four bands from 4-9:30 p.m. Donations of non perishable items accepted at the gate to replenish food pantry.
Strafford: dusk, over the lake. Rain date: July 4.

SATURDAY, JULY 4
Center Harbor: dusk, Center Harbor Bay
Colebrook: dusk, in the ball field. Rain date: Sunday, July 6. Day long community celebration starts at 7 a.m. with a pancake breakfast, followed by a kid's fishing derby, 4th of July Parade and chicken barbecue.
Concord: dusk, Memorial Field. Rain date: July 5.
Derry: 9 p.m., best viewing areas are along Tsienneto Road, Hood Commons, Folsom Road, and Crystal Avenue. Rain date: July 5.
Gilmanton: 9:15 p.m., Crystal Lake Park; gates open at 6:30 with live band, food, games, and more.
Gorham: 10 p.m., Gorham Town Common
Harrisville: 9 p.m. at Island Cemetery. 
Hampton Beach: 9:30 p.m., over the Atlantic
Jefferson: dusk, downtown Jefferson
Laconia: 9:30 p.m., downtown
Lebanon: 5-10 p.m., Colburn Park/Storrs Hill Ski Area. Fireworks, food, entertainment, and friends combine to make this an event not to be missed. PLUS Art Show and Sale! Rain Date: July 5
Lincoln/Woodstock: 10 a.m., Family events at Kancamagus Recreation Area; 2 p.m. Parade from Main Street in N. Woodstock down Main Street in Lincoln; 9:30 p.m. Fireworks
Meredith: dusk, Meredith Bay
Merrimack: dusk, Merrimack High School
Nashua: 9 p.m., Holman Stadium
North Conway: 9:30 p.m., Schouler Park, preceded by theatrical and live musical performances, beginning at 5:30 p.m. 
Ossipee: 5-11 p.m., Constitution Park, Long Sands Road off 25E. Fun, food, fireworks.
Pittsburg: dusk, Murphy Dam 
Rye: dusk, Parson's Field
Salem: 9:30 p.m., Salem High School Fields. Rain date: July 5.
Weirs Beach:, 12:01 a.m., Celebrate July 4th in Weirs Beach! The first July 4th fireworks show in the state kicks off at 12:01am on July 4th on the beach in Weirs Beach! 
Wolfeboro: 9:30 p.m., over Wolfeboro Bay.
 

SUNDAY, JULY 5
Manchester: concert & fireworks at dusk, Arms Park; park opens at 6:30pm.  No alcohol allowed.  Eastbound lanes of the Bridge Street Bridge will be closed to pedestrian and motor vehicle traffic from 8:00 a.m. to the end of the event.  Westbound lanes close at 10:00 a.m.
Portsmouth: 9:15 p.m., South Mill Pond. Rain date: July 5
Windham: 9 p.m. at Cobbets Pond, watch from Griffin Park or Windham Town Beach 



SATURDAY, JULY 11

Chesterfield: 9 p.m., Spofford Lake. Parking available at the Wares Grove & North Shore Beaches. Rain Date: Sunday, July 12th.
