Jackson: 'Dr. Murray Should Be Banned From Medicine'

Janet Jackson is calling for authorities to strip her brother Michael's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, of his right to practice medicine - because she holds him responsible for the King of Pop's death.
The R&B superstar has opened up about the tragedy in a new TV interview - her first since Michael's passing in June - and she is convinced Murray, who is at the centre of a criminal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the star's death, is to blame.
In the ABC News exclusive, the Nasty singer says, "He was the one that was administering (the drugs that killed Jackson)."
Janet reveals her family did attempt an intervention on more than one occasion - because they realized Michael was becoming more and more reliant on prescription medication.
She says, "Of course (we intervened). That's what you do. Those are the things that you do when you love someone, you can't just let them continue on in that way and we did (try an intervention)... a few times... we weren't very successful."
However, the star admits none of the Jackson clan knew just how serious Michael's drug addiction was and she was stunned to hear he was hooked on powerful pain medication Propofol: "That's serious, that's heavy. None of us knew to that extent."
Janet wants to see Murray struck off the medical register, so no one else will ever suffer the same tragedy.
She tells newswoman Robin Roberts, "I don't (think he should be practicing), not at all. So this could happen to someone else? Another family? No."
It is claimed Murray left Jackson alone and under the influence of a powerful anesthetic on the morning of his death. By the time the doctor returned from making telephone calls, Jackson had stopped breathing.
No charges have been filed against Murray, who has been identified in court records as a suspect in a police manslaughter investigation, but Janet is confident justice will be served once investigators get to the bottom of the homicide case.
She adds, "The truth always prevails, that's the way I see it."
The interview aired on Wednesday.
