Hi I’m Suzanne Roantree. I live in Gilford, NH with my husband Ken, our three teen-age children, four Springer Spaniels, one cat, and two horses. Ken calls me “Ellie Mae”!

I grew up in Hillsboro, NH and then attended UNH graduating in 1984. Ken and I left NH in 1985 to move to Baltimore with a small moving truck, car in tow, and one cat. After stops in Atlanta and Philadelphia,we moved back to the Lakes Region in 1995 with the largest moving van ever made, and a mini-van filled with our children, Alex, Max,and Katy, and two cats. It’s amazing what you can accomplish in just ten years!

Motherhood has been amazing adventure — especially now with three teenagers. I think the most important thing we can accomplish as parents is to have a healthy relationship with our kids, allowing them to want to come to us with anything.

My daughter and I horseback ride — I’ve been a horse nut all my life. We both compete in the Hunter/Jumper world. I’m sure my house would be a lot cleaner if we didn’t spend so much time at the barn, but it was a very good show year!

I love my kids a ton and I am very proud of who they are and plan to become. Ken and I have been married since 1987.. he travels a lot, so technically, we’ve put in eight-years!
