Sail Across the Sun Contest Rules


From October 28, 2024 at 12:00am to November 15, 2024 at 11:59pm, go to wzid.com to fill out a registration for the chance to win a trip for 2 on the Sail Across the Sun Cruise. The Cruise is all-inclusive (winner will be responsible for excursions and gratuity). The Package Includes: 1 Balcony Cabin on the Cruise; roundtrip Airfare for 2 from airport near winners’ home to Miami, FL; and 1 Night Hotel in Miami, FL. (ARV: $7000, final price will vary based upon airport, time of flights and other factors.) Dates are as follows: Flight from Hometown to Miami, FL: 2/12/25; Cruise from Miami, FL to Cozumel, Mexico: 2/13/25 – 2/17/25; Flight from Miami to Hometown: 2/17/25. Winner will be responsible for any extra charges at the hotel or on the cruise. 1 winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entrants on 11/18/24 and will be notified by phone.

WZID will conduct this contest concurrently and simultaneously with other affiliated radio stations, and in various states.  Listeners of WZID will, therefore, be competing with listeners of other radio stations to win the same prize.  Winner will need to follow all COVID guidelines and protocols put into place by the cruise line.  WZID and Saga Communications, Inc. cannot be held responsible for any event cancellations or rescheduling or flight cancellations, delays, or rescheduling. No purchase necessary. In the case of any query or discrepancy, the winner will ultimately be decided at the sole discretion of Saga Communications, Inc. The winner will receive the prize in February 2025 when the cruise and flights take place. The winner will be required to fill out all paperwork prior to flights being booked, including the station’s prize release form and W-9. Both winner and guest must have a valid passport.

WZID contests are open to all eligible New Hampshire Residents who live or work within 75 miles of our transmitter 18 or older who have not won anything on WZID in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

One entry per day per person in New Hampshire. Submitting more than the allowed entries will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize.  Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted.  Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.

Employees of WZID, Manchester Media Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred-mile radius of the WZID’s main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

No purchase necessary. WZID’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. WZID will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes. Winners will be responsible for all federal and state taxes, and any fees and incidentals. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash.
