On March 14, 2019 at approximately 06:12 am, Troopers from Troop D responded to Interstate 93 southbound south of Exit 17W in the City of Concord, NH for the report of a motor vehicle crash where a dump truck struck the overpass. The dump truck was operated by 57 year old Joseph Brady of Conway, NH.
During the course of his travels, for reasons unknown, the dump body lifted in the upwards position. As the truck was traveling under the Hoit Rd Bridge (Exit 17 bridge) the dump body struck the bridge, scattering debris in the roadway, three other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Brady was issued a summons for negligent driving.
Three operators were taken to the Concord Hospital for precautionary purposes, there were no serious injuries reported.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
