Two rising high school seniors were killed in separate crashes in Londonderry and Wolfeboro. On Friday, state police say 17-year-old Lillianna Cawthron was driving south on Interstate 93 when her car veered off the highway on the right-hand side and struck several trees. Authorities say she was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries. I-93 was completely closed for an hour.
Yesterday afternoon in Wolfeboro, a 17-year-old boy from Tuftonboro died after a single car crash on N. Main St. Authorities said the boy, whose name has not been released, was driving a truck when he went off the road and struck a tree, trapping him inside the truck. Officials said they believe the teen was driving at a high rate of speed.
Three people are dead after three separate motorcycle crashes on Saturday. State police say in Greenville, 56-year-old Raymond Russell Jr. of Hudson was driving his motorcycle when he collided with an SUV. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Another motorcycle crash on Route 118 in Dorchester. 23-year-old Madeline Tredo, a passenger died from her injuries after a head on crash. And in Albany, a pair of motorcycles were riding together when one lost control and crashed near the Lower Falls Scenic Area. State police say the driver of the motorcycle, 51 year old Jjae Chamberlain of Hudson was killed.
