After two decades of service Rochester’s Fire Chief retires

ROCHESTER, NH – After serving the community for 25 years, Rochester’s Fire Chief Mike George is retiring.

Chief George began his career in 2001 and rising through the ranks and was promoted to Lieutenant in March 2013, Captain in February 2018, Assistant Chief in March 2023, and ultimately serving as Fire Chief since March 2025.

We wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.
