The state attorney general is giving the green light on the sale of Manchester’s Catholic Medical Center to an out-of-state for-profit company. The proposed $110 million deal has been in the works since the fall of 2023. CMC officials said the sale is needed because it has lost money in four of the past five years. HCA already owns Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Parkland Medical Center and Frisbee Medical Center. The sale has been scheduled to be finalized on January 31 and has already been approved by the Bishop of Manchester and the Vatican.
