Scam alert. The state attorney general says it has received several reports of emails asking people to pay a fee using cryptocurrency to stop the sender from releasing embarrassing information. The email reportedly contains personal information such as the recipient’s name and home address. Officials say do not to respond or send money and you can report these emails to the attorney general’s consumer protection hotline.
