Manchester Police have arrested 39-year-old Jonathan Santiago Torres of Manchester in connection with two separate criminal incidents that happened earlier this year.
The first incident took place in May when a man was shot at a residence on Spruce St. The injuries were non-life-threatening. The second occurred in late August and involved a car being intentionally set on fire. The blaze spread to 2 other vehicles and also damaged a neighboring building on Cartier St. Following investigations, police developed probable cause linking Torres to both incidents. He was charged with First Degree Assault with a Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Deadly Weapon, and Arson. Torres is being held pending a court hearing.
