MANCHESTER, N.H.- Police in Dalton have identified the man charged with stealing a fire truck early Tuesday morning while fire fighters were trying to save his home.
According to investigators Nestor Roman II, 30, jumped into a Whitefield fire engine and proceeded to hit another engine, drive over water supply lines and almost hit three fire fighters.
Following the incident police say Roman is now facing a number of charges ranging from reckless conduct with a deadly weapon to theft by unauthorized taking, burglary and resisting arrest.
Fire offiicals meanwhile, note that Roman’s home was destroyed in the fire.
As for a cause, officials say that’s the subject of an on-going investigation.
