PETERBOROUGH, N.H.-Investigators say Sunday’s fatal shooting involved an off-duty police officer who was stabbed multiple times during the incident.
Following an autopsy authorities have identified the man killed as Jack Hutchings,24, but have yet to specify and exact cause of death pending notification of family.
As it stands the Attorney General’s office says they’re now looking to see if whether or not the person who shot Hutchings was acting in self-defense.
As for the officer involved, authorities say he remains hospitalized, but his exact condition remains unknown.
