Belmont man charged with kidnapping and beating his parents inside their home

BELMONT, N.H.- Police have charged Nathaniel Kay with allegedly holding his elderly parents against their will.

According to court documents on October 15th police received a call from an 82-year-old man, who said he and his 77-year-old wife had fallen down the stairs inside their home on Cotton Hill Road.

Once on scene Police ended up arresting the 42-year-old Kay after they say he allowed his parents to call paramedics only if they pretended to have fallen down the stairs.

Following his arrest Kay was charged with kidnapping, second-degree assault, criminal restraint, and simple assault and ordered held in preventive detention.

As for his parents, police say they both were hospitalized due to their injuries.
