AUBURN, N.H. (AP) — Authorities have found the body of an 83-year-old Massachusetts man who went missing on a New Hampshire lake late last week. Members of the New Hampshire Fish and Game dive team located and recovered the body of Joseph Moreau, of Methuen, on Lake Massabesic in Auburn on Sunday.

The state Medical Examiner’s Office responded and the victim was transported to Concord Hospital for an autopsy scheduled for Monday. Moreau went missing Friday. Crews found Moreau’s car parked at a boat launch and his canoe was found in shallow water with his fishing gear inside. The case remains under investigation.
