Gusty winds on Friday likely to blame for a 12-year-old boy who was walking home from school and had a massive spruce tree fall on top of him in Boscawen. The Boscawen Fire Department said it happened at Woodland Commons Apartments on North Main Street. Firefighters had to use a chainsaw and a hydraulic spreader to free him. The boy, identified as Kyle Murray, is listed in critical condition at Boston Children’s Hospital.
