The FBI released its findings Wednesday evening on the mass shooting at Brown University in December, detailing when the gunman, 48-year-old Claudio Neves Valente stored weapons in New Hampshire. According to officials, Neves Valente began planning the attacks as early as 2022. The FBI said he transported firearms to a storage unit in Salem that same year. One of the weapons was used in the Brown University shooting that left two students dead and 9 wounded.
Authorities recovered both weapons inside the Salem storage unit, where Neves Valente was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Brown University shooting prompted a five-day, multi-state manhunt for Neves Valente.
