MANCHESTER, N.H.- An inmate recently captured in Norwalk Connecticut after escaping from the Sullivan County House of Corrections in Unity is also reportedly facing charges in Oklahoma.
According to court documents, 33-year-old Jianming Zeng has been charged in Oklahoma with obtaining money under false pretenses. As Police say the Brooklyn New York man was part of a tech support scam, acting as a courier to collect cash from victims.
News of these additional charges come after Zeng was charged for his role in a similar scam which targeted an elderly man in Charlestown New Hampshire.
At the moment it has yet to be announced if Zeng will be extradited back to New Hampshire after he was captured in Norwalk Connecticut, but authorities note following his capture he was ordered held on $500,000 bond.
Back on July 12th authorities say Zeng managed to escape from the Sullivan County House of Corrections by throwing clothes over the barbed wire fence before jumping over it then managed to steal a pickup truck and was then spotted at a gas station in the Norwalk, Connecticut, on the morning of July 13th, wearing only a flannel jacket and underwear.
