Catalytic Converter Thefts Arrest

From Manchester, NH Police;

On January 5, 2021, Manchester Police arrested 36 year old Karl Von Husen in connection with catalytic converter thefts that happened late last year.

On November 23, 2020, a camera captured 2 people on bicycles near Alex Sepulveda Auto at 160 S. Beech St. A catalytic converter was stolen from one of the vehicles in the lot. Police believe Von Husen is one of the individuals in the video. He is also believed to be responsible for another theft in the city.

A warrant was issued for Von Husen on December 17, 2020. He has been charged with Theft by Unauthorized Taking. Von Husen will be arraigned today in Manchester Circuit Court.

There are other catalytic converter thefts that are still being investigated. Catalytic converters have been taken from vehicles in various business parking lots, as well as the JFK Memorial Coliseum and West Side Ice Arena where people had parked their cars during the snow emergencies.
