Child dies after being struck by a vehicle

LOUDON, N.H.- Police say an unidentified girl has died after being recently struck by a motor vehicle.

According to police the death follows an accident that occurred a little before 4 p.m. Friday afternoon along Chichester Road.

Once on scene Emergency personnel say the 5-year-old was transported to Concord Hospital with life threating injuries and from there taken to a Boston hospital where she was pronounced dead.

While the incident remains under investigation, Police say all indications are that this was a tragic accident.
