Craig Morgan Is Bringing Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson and a Special Toby Keith Tribute Together on One Album
Craig Morgan has spent more than two decades making country music.
He’s also spent a significant part of his life serving his country.
Now he’s bringing those two worlds together for a new album, and he’s getting a little help from some pretty familiar names.
Jelly Roll. Lainey Wilson. And a very special tribute to the late Toby Keith.
Morgan’s new album, My Country, arrives this Friday, November 6, just days before Veterans Day.
And there’s a personal story behind one of its most meaningful songs.

A Toby Keith Song With a Special Meaning
One of the album’s highlights is Morgan’s new recording of Toby Keith’s 2003 hit, “American Soldier.”
It’s a song that has meant a great deal to military families for more than two decades.
And for Morgan, recording it was personal.
He and Toby were longtime friends, and both were passionate supporters of America’s military community.
But Craig didn’t simply decide to record the song.
He received the blessing of Toby Keith’s family before making his own version.
Morgan said he was privileged to have their support and excited for fans to hear the finished recording.

It’s a fitting tribute from one country star and military veteran to another artist who made supporting service members such an important part of his career.
Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson Join the Party
The 11-song album also includes collaborations with two of today’s biggest country stars.
Jelly Roll joins Morgan on “Almost Home,” a song Craig originally released in 2002.
And Lainey Wilson teams up with him for “International Harvester,” one of Morgan’s most recognizable hits.
Both collaborations previously appeared on Morgan’s 2023 Enlisted EP and are included on the new album.
Other songs include “That’s What I Love About Sunday,” “Long May You Wave,” “Blue Collar Prayer,” and the new track “I’m Country Music.”

That last song is already available, and it’s a celebration of the way country music becomes part of people’s everyday lives.
From falling in love to getting your heart broken, country music always seems to have a song for whatever you’re going through.
He’s Still Serving His Country, Too
Here’s something you might not know about Craig Morgan.
Before becoming a country star, he served 17 years in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve.
Then, in 2023, he did something pretty remarkable.
He reenlisted in the Army Reserve.
Yes, even after becoming a successful recording artist, Morgan decided to put the uniform back on.
He has also spent years supporting military members and veterans through organizations including the USO and Operation Finally Home.

And this weekend, he’s combining music and military service once again.
On Saturday, November 7, Morgan will host his Veterans Day 5K at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House, benefiting several charitable organizations.
Later that evening, he’ll headline a concert at the historic Ryman Auditorium.

More Than Just Another Country Album
There’s something especially appropriate about the timing of this release.
America is celebrating its 250th anniversary year.
Veterans Day is right around the corner.
And Craig Morgan is releasing an album that celebrates the country he served and the music that made him famous.
In announcing the project, Morgan explained that it brings together two things he loves: his country and country music.
And with Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson and a heartfelt tribute to Toby Keith all included, there’s plenty for country fans to look forward to.
My Country will be available Friday, November 6.
