MANCHESTER, N.H.- Danville Police have charged a man out of a recent traffic stop and search of his home in which authorities discovered an arsenal of assault-style rifles, body armor illegal narcotics and a hand grenade.

According to police Saturday evening Police pulled Joseph Parsons, 46, over on Main Street, during which police were able to determine that Parsons was not only driving with a suspended license but also had a number of active, non-extraditable warrants from Florida.

From there Police then began a search of Parsons’ vehicle and found a hidden bag under the driver’s seat, with an assault-style riffle inside.

After obtaining a warrant for Parsons’ vehicle and home, police discovered what’s being described as a massive cache of weapons and tactical gear, large quantities of ammunition, along with a number of suspected narcotics including heroin, cocaine, psychedelic mushrooms, and prescription pills; however, things became contentious, when police found a grenade, which resulted in police calling in the bomb squad, who disposed of the grenade.

Following his arrest Parsons was transported to the Rockingham Country Jail where he was ordered held on preventive detention.
