Eric Church is giving back in a major way.  His charity, Chief Cares, just purchased land in Avery County, North Carolina and plans to build 100 homes for 100 families that were displaced by Hurricane Helene last year.

The project is called “Blueprint for Blue Ridge” and it plans to break ground in April.  The hope is to have 40 homes that are move-in ready by June.

Here’s what Eric said, “Any time a community needs help, it’s always the community next door that comes running to help.  [But] they’ve all been devastated.  So, we’ve made it our mission at Chief Cares to be that community next door.”

(You can check out a news report about it, here.)

So far Eric has donated all proceeds of his song, “Darkest Hour” to the recovery effort in North Carolina.  And he and Luke Combs teamed up for the Concert for Carolina, that raised over 24 million.
