Over the Fourth of July weekend, 78 people were arrested according to the New Hampshire Department of Safety. During increased patrols between July 3rd and July 7th, officials said troopers made 2,767 traffic stops related to speeding, distracted driving and other traffic violations. 81 of those stops included drivers going more than 90 mph. Officials also said troopers responded to 62 crashes that weekend.
On the water, 45 stops were made, and the state Marina Patrol along with state troopers arrested 2 boaters.
