GOOD SAMARITAN ACCIDENT

ROLLINSFORD, N.H. (AP) — A good Samaritan in New Hampshire has been struck and killed by a car after an attempt to save a cat in the middle of the road Monday. According to police, the unidentified person died from their injuries after they were transported to the hospital. Seacoastonline.com reports that the cat was also hit by the car and died. Local Rollinsford law enforcement called the incident a “freak accident.” Police said that there was no alcohol involved in the crash and no charges have been filed. The driver has fully complied with police, the news site said.
