The governor also said that those collecting from unemployment will in most cases be shifted to the pandemic unemployment assistance program, which will give them an additional $600 a week that will be federally funded. The length of time to receive benefits has been extended to 39 weeks. Nothing more to do just continue to file as you have been.
Small businesses will also be getting some help from the Paycheck Protection Program which will give small businesses 100 percent forgivable loans to cover the salaries and benefits of their employees, mortgage interest rent and utilities for up to eight weeks. The state is also extending the business tax deadline from April 15th to June 15th.
Standarized tests will not take place in New Hampshire this semester. The Dept of Education will work with students wanting to take the SATs this summer or fall.
