Guardians of the Granite State
The New Hampshire State Police and the New Hampshire Army National Guard have teamed up to create a high school fitness competition designed to challenge juniors and seniors to achieve the fitness standards of the NHSP and NHANG. It’s called the Guardians of the Granite State.
Troopers and Guardsmen are visiting local high schools encouraging students to have their fitness measured by taking the NHSP recruitment fitness test which includes push-ups, sit-ups, and sprinting ability. The top 3 females and top 3 males with the highest scores will be selected to represent their high school in the final competition which takes place on Armed Forces Day, May 21st in Pembroke. The top male and female will win prizes and the top school will also be recognized.
