It’s Inauguration Day in Concord. Today Kelly Ayotte will take the oath of office to become our 83rd governor. In her address, she is expected to reiterate many of the things she focused on during her campaign including education funding and working for all of the people of NH.

At the same time, President Jimmy Carter will be laid to rest today. The 39th President of the United States has been lying in state in the Capitol Rotunda for public viewing for the last 2 days with long lines of people coming to pay their respects. Carter served as president from 1977-81, winning office as an outsider in the wake of the Vietnam War and Watergate and is also being remembered for his decades of humanitarian work.
