HOOKSETT NH
The Hooksett Town Council has voted 5-1 in order to amended the $24.6 million default budget, in order to reallocate $3,500 for the Hooksettites, a group that holds regular luncheons for town residents over 80 years old.
In 2024 Hooksett Town officials stopped providing support for the Hooksettites when the town entered its first year on a default budget. That funding suspension continued last year when voters again rejected the proposed municipal budget
In order to fund the organization Councilors allocated some money earmarked for salary and benefits for the town engineer, a position that’s been vacant for about a year.
