Jelly Roll has lost a lot of weight. But is he READY TO RUMBLE? The WWE thinks so, because they’re putting him in the ring against Logan Paul at SummerSlam next month.
Friday night, the WWE “Smackdown” went down in Nashville, and Jelly was there to open the show with his #1 hit “Liar”.
But less than a minute into the song, he was interrupted by Logan, who told him, quote, “Everyone is here to see real WWE superstars . . . this ring is sacred . . . you belong on a stage, not a WWE ring.”
“You know what I’m disgusted by? Celebrities, influencers, personalities, whatever you want to classify this as, coming in to our industry, leeching off of our success on a platform that we have built, brother.”
FYI, this was purposely ironic, because Logan came into the WWE as a celebrity influencer in 2021. To be fair, he’s been FANTASTIC in the ring. But many wrestling fans still consider him an outsider.
After some back-and-forth between the two of them, legit WWE star Randy Orton came out to confront Paul. But then another WWE superstar, Drew McIntyre, attacked Orton from behind.
Then Logan attacked Orton, Jelly pulled Logan off Orton, and Logan trashed Jelly’s music equipment.
Long story short . . . too late, I know . . . Logan and Jelly are gonna go at it at WWE SummerSlam, which goes down August 2nd and 3rd.
But it won’t be one-on-one. It’ll be Jelly Roll and Randy Orton vs. Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre.
