A jury is now deliberating the case of a former counselor at the Youth Development Center charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy at the facility. 55-year-old Stephen Murphy is charged with one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault. In closing arguments, the defense called it a case of make-believe. On Tuesday Murphy’s attorney claimed the victim, Michael Gilpatrick, is making things up in hopes of gaining money in a civil lawsuit and says his story has too many inconsistencies for it to be believable.
