On September 26, 2020 Manchester Police arrested 51 year old Cory Watts on an outstanding warrant. Watts was wanted for felony Kidnapping and Criminal Threatening, as well as being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
The charges stem from a September 9th, incident in which Watts kidnapped a woman he knew. Watts was alleged to have brandished a firearm during the course of the crime and was considered armed and dangerous.
Around 3:30 am, officers went to 48 Orange Street in the early morning hours. They confirmed that Watts was inside. Using an intercom, they gave repeated commands for him exit the apartment. The Manchester Police SWAT Bearcat was brought in, and eventually phone contact was made with Watts. Around 6am, Watts came out of the apartment and was taken into custody without incident.
Along with the above charges, Watts was also charged with Resisting Arrest. Watts will be arraigned in Hillsborough Superior Court- North today (9/28)
