MANCHESTER, N.H.- Following Dartmouth Health’s plans to eliminate more than 400 jobs officials with the Department of Labor say they’re not planning to take any action over whether or not the company was required to inform state officials of the move.

On Wednesday officials with the Department of Labor confirmed that they didn’t receive any Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice in relation to Tuesday’s announced layoffs which would result in in 124 people losing their jobs, and the company eliminating 303 open positions as officials said Dartmouth didn’t have to.

And while the Department of Labor isn’t raising any concerns with the issue, officials with the State’s Department of Business and Economic Affairs may be coordinating response services for those affected employees.

The concern comes after Dartmouth announced Tuesday it would not only be doing away with more than 400 positions within in its system but also means some programs will also be eliminated.
