LACONIA, N.H.- Elected officials in Laconia have become the first city in the state to approve a social district, which will operate Thursdays through Saturdays from 12p.m.– 8p.m. starting May 28,2026.
The social district is designed to boost foot traffic, support local businesses, and create a more vibrant downtown.
New Hampshire legalized “social districts” under House Bill 467, this past September which allows a designated outdoor area where adults can consume alcohol purchased from local bars and restaurants.
