CONCORD, N.H.– Lawmakers gathered Wednesday for Veto Day and ended up overriding a few of Governor Kelly Ayotte’s vetoes.

As expected, lawmakers ended up reviving the state’s 10-year transportation plan, translates to toll rate increases, especially for those without an EZ pass or out of state drivers.

Officials also ended up bringing back a bill which gives people convicted of crimes another chance to petition for a trial when new evidence emerges as it would supersede the state’s three-year deadline.

Other bills on preventing men from utilizing women’s safe spaces, and one on who has access to certain books in school libraries in what some have incorrectly called a “book ban,” remain dead.
