A licensed nursing assistant is charged with sexually assaulting a child at the Elliot Hospital. According to police, 25-year-old Alexander Colbath has been charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault for an incident that took place last week when he entered the room of a young girl and said he was there to inspect an incision on her body from a recent surgery while the girl’s mother was out of the room. Authorities say the girl told her mother who then went to the hospital staff and then reported it to the police. According to hospital officials, Colbath was supposed to be in the patient’s room only to take vitals and help other nurses. Colbath is due in court Jan. 8th for a probable cause hearing.
