HAMPTON N.H.- A local group has launched a campaign dubbed “Take Back Hampton Beach” by proposing a $60 dollar toll for out of state tourists looking to gain access to Hampton Beach

The group says their main goal is to deter individuals from engaging in illegal activities, following the noticeable spike in fights, drug use and crime within the general area of the beach.

The group is asking New Hampshire residents to sign an online petition supporting the tolls in an effort make the beach feel safe for families, help businesses thrive and end what the group describes “out-of-state chaos.
