On May 12, 2020 at approximately 2:30 am a Manchester Police Officer assisting with a motor vehicle stop on Line Drive heard loud banging noises coming from the bottom of the boat ramp. The officer found a parking sign shaking back and forth and a man carrying a large stick walking away from it.
The officer gave commands for the male to stop. The male was hostile toward the officer, taking several steps toward him still carrying the stick. He was ordered to drop the stick but refused and argued with the officer. After several minutes, the male finally dropped the stick. He refused to identify himself, but through his ID card police learned he was 36 y/o Michael Seiders of Manchester. He was arrested and brought to headquarters where he continued to be uncooperative, spitting and urinating on the floor.
Seiders was charged with Criminal Mischief, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.
