Manchester man arrested for alleged role in Central St shooting

MANCHESTER N.H.- Police say Jose Antonio Pantoja Martinez, 35, was taken into custody Tuesday in North Andover Massachusetts following a day long search for the suspect out of a recent shooting.

According to Police Martinez is suspected of shooting a woman over the weekend outside a house party on Central St, which sent one woman to the hospital.

Investigators say that an argument involving several people spilled into the street early Sunday morning and during the argument Martinez allegedly pulled out a gun and fired, striking the female bystander.

Officials confirmed her injuries were non-life-threatening, and she has since been treated and released.

Martinez remains held in Massachusetts pending formal extradition proceedings to return him to New Hampshire.
