The New Hampshire Union Leader reports that Manchester School officials will consider closing four elementary schools and one high school on the recommendation of a consultant.
Due to declining enrollment and maintenance costs, it’s being suggested that Hallsville, Gossler Park, Smyth, and Wilson elementary schools close, as well as Central High School. They also recommend merging Memorial High School with the Manchester School of Technology
School administrators say the report isn’t the final word on the topic. A special remote meeting will take place Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
