Mandate for vets, spouses to get interviews for state jobs

Veterans Day and we honor those who have served.
Governor Kelly Ayotte has signed an executive order requiring all state agencies to interview qualified current and former members of the military and their spouses for any public-posted state job. All applicants have to meet minimum qualifications and veterans must show proof of honorable service. Ayotte’s order also encourages cities and towns along with private business owners to make similar commitments to fair hiring practices for all veterans.
